ACL to provide certification services to The Anaerobic Digestion & Bioresources Association (ADBA) as they pilot their new Best Practice Certification Scheme

ACL are excited to announce that we have been selected to provide certification services to support the pilot of ADBA's new Best Practice Certification Scheme. Announced by Jess Allan, Environment and Regulation Manager at ADBA, at their recent trade show held at the NEC earlier this month, ACL will be working alongside Dr Amaya Arias Garcia, chair of the scheme steering group, and ADBA to pilot the scheme.

The pilot will involve a test-run of the certification scheme across a range of biogas plants in order to identify any issues with the scheme rules or criteria and to develop and fine tune the audit process for this new certification scheme.

The pilot will run across July and August with a full review of the findings planned for September 2017. It is envisaged that following the review and any necessary amendments to the scheme documentation, the Best Practice Certification Scheme will be launched in full in Autumn 2017.

It is expected that successful certification to the scheme will deliver reduced insurance premiums to biogas plant owners, reduced regulatory costs and access to better financing and re-financing opportunities.
